General Hospital recently saw the return of Ryan Paevey as Nathan West in a huge plot twist. With Nathan coming back from the dead after being shot in the chest back in 2018, Paevey seems excited about playing his GH character again. Many fans think that Peter August has returned in Nathan’s disguise. However, there is a lot of speculation among fans about the mystery behind Nathan’s return has not yet been revealed.

Could Nathan be Peter August in disguise on General Hospital?
On the show, Nathan West is the son of Cesar Faison and Liesl Obrecht, and brother of Britt Westbourne. However in 2022, the show revealed that Cesar had another son with Dr. Alex Devane named Henrik Faison, who appears on the show as Peter August. Now, Nathan West seems to have returned to Port Charles after dying to a fatal gunshot in 2018. But fans refuse to believe that he is the real Nathan West.
Speaking about his return on the show, Pavey told TV Insider about executive producer Frank Valentini’s plans for the storyline. “He (Frank Valentini) said they had some ideas for a few other characters that were in my orbit and was wondering if I might be willing to come back so they could make some of that arc a little bit richer,” Paevey revealed. “This go-round is definitely going to be wildly different than the last one was. We’ve got some fun stuff planned. We’re going to stir the pot. I wouldn’t come back for something vanilla. It’s going to be a blast,” he continued.
This has led fans to come up with the wildest theories and speculation about the plot with respect to Nathan West. Some fans even think Peter August a.k.a Henrik Faison, is back, disguised as Nathan. However, nothing can be said for sure, as there is no evidence strong enough to suggest a definitive conclusion. Fans have shared their guesses on a General Hospital fan community post, which reads, “I think Nathan is Peter August with plastic surgery!” One fan commented, “It’s the same thing putting Faison’s memories into Nathan like the whole Jason/Drew thing.” Another fan wrote, “Peter August is dead…but that is not Nathan.”
