We’ve reached the end of Rescue: HI-Surf Season 1, and there are a lot of loose threads out there that still need to be wrapped up by the end of the hour.
From the romantic entanglements to Ocean’s graduation and the Vince situation, it should be a busy closing episode!
Ahead of the season finale, we got an exclusive sneak peek from Rescue: HI-Surf Season 1 Episode 19, which sees Sonny telling Laka and Em about Will’s suspension and warning them about Vince.
Vince has been a troublemaker from the start.
Due to his close association with Sonny and years of experience, he came in with a massive chip on his shoulder, and he’s never really dropped it.
While he and Will eventually called a truce and started a friendship, it went south fast when Will became aware of Vince’s extracurricular activities.
And the way Vince immediately turned on Will when confronted was perfectly in line with the man we met during Rescue: HI-Surf Season 1 Episode 15.
In the conversation we see with Laka and Em, Sonny doesn’t seem like he’s determined what to do about Vince, but no matter their bond, Sonny doesn’t seem like the kind of man or captain who would turn his cheek to something so serious.
But what will he ultimately do?
That’s only one of the outstanding questions to get to during the hour.
Elsewhere during this one, we should see the fallout from Hina’s ill-timed admission to Kainalu that she had feelings for him during Rescue: HI-Surf Season 1 Episode 18.
Hina picked a terrible time to come clean, catching Kainalu off-guard and causing a pretty big fracture in their relationship— at least for now.
But once the dust has settled, we’ll have to see where Kainalu’s head is at.
We are big fans of the Hina and Kainalu romance, but we have to wonder if now is the time for the two to speak something, considering where Kainalu is currently with Rosie.
Speaking of relationship decisions, we’ve been dealing with the Will and Em drama all season, and there’s no way they can end things without these two finally having it out and figuring out what they want.
They have so much history, and there’s still a lot of love there, but there’s also a lot of pain, which we’ve seen on full display.
But it’s hard to imagine we don’t get some clarity on their situation, as it’s been one of the most prominent storylines since the show premiered.
Considering the show hasn’t yet been renewed, leaving things on a cliffhanger would be a shame, but you never know!
