I’ve wanted another Jeremy Mitchell appearance since Will Trent Season 3 started, especially since this season has delved more into Faith’s character.
Spoilers for Will Trent Season 3 Episode 9 hint that we’ll learn more about Jeremy’s new job in the music business when Faith and Will discover the murder of a famous rapper.
Naturally, that leads them to the music studio where her son works. Guess who manages it? Rafael Wexford, who found another way to interfere in Will’s life.
This episode should be massive for Will as his past and present relationships intersect.
Additionally, Angie and Michael investigate an underground swingers’ club where something is amiss. That could be entertaining and add some spice and levity to the episode.
We also have spoiler photos of Seth McDale, so he and Angie are likely hanging out again and moving their relationship forward.
Will and Faith Discover a Murdered Rapper on Will Trent Season 3 Episode 9
Faith really doesn’t know rap music, even though her son has worked in the music industry since Will Trent Season 2 Episode 7.
Jeremy’s distress that H. Belmont died leads Faith and Will to discover his body.
Naturally, the clues lead them to Jeremy’s studio, mortifying him. He’s trying to prove he’s an adult without his mother watching over him.
I doubt that Faith and Will suspect Jeremy, but his associates, especially when they learn Rafael Wexford is the new manager there.
Faith looks horrified, thinking her son might be working for a criminal.
However, Jeremy is as stubborn as his mother and doesn’t want to quit his job because she thinks he’s in danger.
He’s her son and just as confident he can care for himself.
Will’s Past and Present Relationships Collide, Forcing Him to Choose Sides
This will be a high-stakes case, as Will finally has to confront Rafael Wexford, as Ramon Rodriguez teased when the third season began.
Will has been more lenient with Rafael, allowing him to get away with crimes, partly because he didn’t have solid evidence and Will felt he owed Rafael for bailing him out years ago.
We still don’t know the details, but old loyalty only goes so far.
Will considers Faith and Jeremy like family, so it’s game on if Rafael endangers either one of them.
The weekly promo hints the men will fight again when Will confronts him and Rafael wants him to butt out. They appear to be at a boxing gym, so how many businesses did he buy?
Rafael likely doesn’t care about Jeremy. I suspect he may even try to frame him to get revenge on Will when Jeremy calls Will in a panic.
It’s telling that Jeremy calls Will, not his mom. He probably doesn’t want Faith to lecture him, and he and Will are close.
We haven’t seen it as much on television, but Will and Jeremy’s relationship was one of my favorite parts of the Will Trent book series.

What Will Angie and Find at an Underground Swinger’s Club?
Swinger clubs were more popular in the 1970s, but they’ve returned in style as it sweeps into many suburban, social scenes.
Underground swingers clubs often look like nondescript buildings, and most members seem genuinely friendly. Those not used to it may seem uncomfortable as strangers smile or hit on each other.
Often, people have regulars they enjoy playing with, which is how jealousy can happen if someone else gets involved and passionate crimes happen.
It also means that Will Trent will likely have another sex crimes case.
We’re unsure what will will occur, but the last time a violent attempted murder occurred outside an underground swing club, Bensler went undercover on Law & Order: SVU.
I imagine this will be just as entertaining.
Angie and Seth’s Relationship Blossoms
The spoiler photos hint that Angie and Seth have another casual date.
While there wasn’t sizzling chemistry between them yet, they were cute, and Angie finally looked ready to date someone besides Will.
Seth seems like a nice guy, and I’m cautiously optimistic about seeing how his and Angie’s connection will be.
I like that he also had an addiction, so he understands the hard work, and he’s not a saint, even if he’s a doctor.
Hopefully, their relationship can stay laid back and fun since Angie has had way too much drama.
Other Thoughts
Is Faith still living at Michael’s? The weekly promo shows Jeremy stopping by, and if he randomly pops in, that house will get crowded with three kids.
While young adults don’t stop in often, that’s a valid concern. Talking about murder around two younger children is worrisome as well, especially for Cooper.
I hope they address these soon. I enjoy Faith and Michael’s friendship, but she needs her own place.
