It’s happening! Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 7-22-24 say we will pick up from the weekend cliffhanger involving Xander’s mother showing up at the funeral.
This one has been a long time coming. It’s been nearly a year since Theresa (then played by Jen Lilley) agreed to help Konstantin forge a signature on a letter to make Alex into Victor’s heir and cut Xander out of the will.
She’s gotten away with it for too long. She should have gotten arrested when security video proved she was the one who helped kidnap Sarah and Xander’s baby, but for some reason, Andrew did her a solid and covered up that crime.

Why This Story Took So Long In The First Place
The Writer’s Strike Led To Delays
Days of Our Lives is known for dragging things out, but this time it wasn’t entirely the writers’ fault.

Unlike most shows, Days of Our Lives didn’t cease production during the writers’ strike. However, replacement writers were brought in to keep things running until the strike was settled.
These writers introduced a few new story threads, but they mostly treaded water so they wouldn’t step on the regular writers’ toes. Thus, the Theresa story took nearly a year to resolve.
It’s all come to a head, finally, and the payoff should be epic.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers Promise Epic Fallout
Theresa, Alex, and Xander’s Lives Are All Turned Upside-Down
The past week was all about set-up for Theresa’s fall from grace, and Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest it’ll be huge.
Theresa can’t lie her way out of this. Bonnie and Sarah realized that she threw away Fiona Cook’s wedding invitation, and when the woman says what she has to say, it’ll become clear why.
Hopefully, Sarah and Xander won’t have their wedding derailed for long. They deserve a happy ever after, even if Xander does have to adjust to being Victor’s estranged son rather than the black sheep nephew.

Xander’s Mother Will Cause Chaos
There’s No Hiding From The Truth Now
Theresa and Alex were already married by the time Xander’s mother showed up, but that doesn’t mean Theresa’s gotten away with anything.

She could still reveal that Xander is Victor’s son, and she’s far more credible than Theresa is.
If Theresa hadn’t tried to throw away the woman’s invitation, maybe she could get away with labeling Mrs. Cook as a drunk who doesn’t know what she’s talking about, but chances are everything will start to make sense once she spills the beans.

Theresa’s Wedding Goes From Dream To Nightmare
She Has One More Secret She’s Desperate To Keep Buried
Fiona Cook’s pronouncement, whatever it is, could end Theresa’s marriage as quickly as it began.
The reveal should humiliate Theresa. Worse yet, from her perspective: Brady’s in the audience, and he’ll be quick to judge her.
The double wedding disaster is a tired TV trope, and Theresa should have known better, but at least one of her secrets is still hidden… for now.
Andrew is the only one who knows that Theresa kidnapped the baby, but nothing stays secret in Salem for long. When Xander realizes he’s face-to-face with his daughter’s kidnapper, there will be hell to pay, to put it mildly.

Brady Makes A Self-Destructive Decision
He Doesn’t Drink, But What He Does Isn’t Much Better
If Arianna Zucker wasn’t leaving Days of Our Lives, I’d suggest Nicole and Brady give it another try. He’s the only person in Salem more self-destructive than she is!
Brady almost fell off the wagon, but was stopped by Paul — and what he decides to do instead is equally self-destructive.
For some reason, he’ll turn to Ava Vitale for comfort. Dude. Theresa isn’t worth it, not by a long shot.

Gabi’s Already Onto Connie the Backstabber
The Newly Released Diva Catches Connie Someplace She Shouldn’t Be
I thought Connie was pouring it on too thick when she asked Gabi for a job seconds after trying to kill Rafe, and Days of Our Lives spoilers says that Gabi will become suspicious soon.
The only thing that’s not clear is where Gabi catches Connie. However, considering the way things usually go in Salem, Connie will likely try to sneak into Rafe’s room to finish the job.
Conversely, Gabi could be the latest person to catch Connie coming from “Everett’s” room, but that wouldn’t be nearly as exciting.
Whether Gabi confronts her or bides her time, it’ll give newcomer Cherie Jimenez the opportunity to make Gabi’s fieriness her own and differentiate her version of the character from Camila Banus‘.

It’s been entertaining for Abe and Kate to break the fourth wall by trying to buy the rights to a defunct soap starring Salem characters, but it’s moving somewhat slowly.

We’ve had several conversations between Kate and Abe, so let’s get on with it.
Kate’s back from LA with news, so let’s hope that jump starts this story.

Nicole’s Life-Changing News Could Screw Up Holly and Tate’s Plans
It’s The Beginning of the End For Nicole
Arianne Zucker only has about a week of material still to air, so Nicole’s story has to be wrapped up.
Many fans are wondering what’ll happen with Holly if Nicole leaves town. Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 7-22-24 suggest we’ll get our answer.
I’m not sure how Nicole’s plans could screw things up for Holly and Tate unless she’s decided to move to Paris with Eric.
That’s the most logical conclusion to this annoying Eric/Nicole/EJ love triangle, but Eric already said that he was staying in Salem. Still, we should have clarity on this by the end of the week.

Jada’s Latest Encounter With “Everett” Leaves Her Feeling Uneasy
Bobby Won’t Be Able To Hide His Attraction to Her
This DID storyline started out on a more promising note than other similar stories, but now it’s gotten silly.

The whole idea of Bobby being able to fool Marlena into thinking he’s back to being Everett is ridiculous, and there was never going to be any way that he could hide his attraction to Jada.
While it’s not clear exactly what will happen to raise Jada’s suspicions, it’s likely that he’s flirtatious with her or remembers things he shouldn’t.
Since Jada will start to be onto him on the same week that Gabi becomes suspicious of Connie, hopefully it means this storyline will wrap up soon.

Xander And Alex Have A Hard Time Accepting The Truth
Alex Has Been Obnoxious About His “Heritage,” While Xander Has Made Peace With The Past
Alex should have the harder time.
He’s been nasty to everyone, especially Justin, centered his whole life around carrying out Victor’s wishes, and spent money like there was no tomorrow.

However, Xander’s been upset lately that Victor mistreated him when he was alive and didn’t leave him anything after death, so it’ll be equally shocking for him to learn he was Victor’s son all along, and the reveal will leave him with some big questions.
