This Is Us star Mandy Moore recently took to the picket line of the SAG-AFTRA strike and revealed that she’s received some wildly small residual checks.

What did Mandy Moore say about This Is Us’ streaming residuals?

While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Moore discussed how the nature of residuals has changed as streaming became prevalent and how she’s received some very small residual checks.

“The residual issue is a huge issue,” Moore stated from the picket line. “We’re in incredibly fortunate positions as working actors having been on shows that found tremendous success in one way or another … but many actors in our position for years before us were able to live off of residuals or at least pay their bills.”

In regards to This Is Us‘ streaming residuals, Moore stated that she has gotten checks for one or two cents.

“I was talking with my business manager who said he’s received a residual for a penny and two pennies,” the actress revealed.

Mandy Moore starred in the popular NBC drama series This Is Us from 2016 to 2022. Some of her other most recognizable roles include Rapunzel in Disney’s Tangled, Lana Thomas in The Princess Diaries, and Aerith Gainsborough in the first Kingdom Hearts video game.
