The Witcher Season 3 Part 1 Trailer Previews Netflix Return

The first The Witcher Season 3 Part 1 trailer is officially here, previewing an even bigger adventure for Geralt and his friends.

Debuted during Summer Game Fest 2023, the new look at the trailer, the first long look at The Witcher Season 3 Part 1 showed off a brief look at some of the action set to arrive, including Geralt once again fighting some terrifying monsters.

Check out The Witcher Season 3 Part 1 trailer below:

What do we know about The Witcher Season 3?

The Witcher Season 3 Volume 1, which will contain episodes one to five, is set to release on the platform on June 29. After that, Volume 2, which is made up of episodes six to eight, will debut on July 27.

“As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it,” reads Season 3’s synopsis. “Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to uncover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line – or risk losing each other forever.”

The upcoming third season of The Witcher will be Henry Cavill’s last, as the actor is set to move on from the series, with Liam Hemsworth replacing him in the role of Geralt of Rivia. That being said, Cavill will apparently be receiving a “heroic send-off” in the third season.

Based on the stories and novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher is created and executive produced by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who also serves as the showrunner. Sean Daniel and Jason Brown of Sean Daniel Company are executive producing, along with Tomek Baginski and Jarek Sawko of Platige Image.
