Madison Bailey’s LBD dress collection is on full rotation this fashion season. On March 21, the “Outer Banks” star debuted one of several cutout black dresses in her personal wardrobe at the 2023 Fashion Trust US Awards in Los Angeles. The sheer gown, styled by Kyle Kagamida, was Look 39 from Tom Ford’s spring/summer 2023 collection and featured a thigh-high slit that hit just below her modesty shorts. She styled the outfit with silver-and-emerald drop earrings, matching rings on both hands, and a pair of strappy heeled sandals embellished with gold chains.

Up close, the dress featured a halter neck that formed a knot before splitting into a beach-like bralette. Beneath the bust, the bodice transformed into a massive, asymmetrical cutout that wrapped around Bailey’s waist to her back. From her waist, the gown’s see-through fabric cascaded to the floor, forming a delicate skirt with a thigh-high slit. The entire dress was composed of expertly-placed panels of black fabric that broke up the design, adding prominence to the sections of the piece that were almost entirely translucent. The finished look was an expert take on the sheer trend.

“One more LBD thank you for a beautiful night @fashiontrustus,” Bailey captioned photos of her look on Instagram, referencing her recent red-carpet outfits. She kicked off her LBD spree in an asymmetrical Michael Kors gown with a thigh-high slit in January and followed the look with a backless high-slit maxi dress with gilded cutouts during the Dundas show at Paris Fashion Week. At the annual Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Oscars party on March 12, Bailey wore the Luisa gown — a two-piece dress with plunging hip cutouts and strappy waist detailing — in black from Et Ochs’s spring/summer 2023 collection.

The Instagram gallery also featured photos of Bailey and her longtime girlfriend, Mariah Linney, who attended the event in a white button-up and black suit by Tom Ford with a matching bowtie. In the comments section, “Knives Out: Glass Onion” star Madelyn Cline applauded Bailey’s gorgeous ensemble. “Ate it up. Goodnight moon,” Cline wrote. Bailey’s beauty team, which includes makeup artist Kendal Fedail and hairstylist Graham Nation, completed her look with a glossy lip, thick mascara, and slicked-back waves.

Ahead, take a glimpse at Bailey’s see-through dress from all angles.
