Several new series bowled TV critics over in 2022, including Pachinko, Heartstopper, and Severance, to name a few. Meanwhile, others likely had TV critics wishing they were doing something more productive with their time, like cleaning their fridges or getting a jump start on their taxes.
The review aggregator Metacritic has tracked critics’ opinions of hundreds of TV seasons this year, and the freshman shows below are at the bottom of the barrel. Including a sordid serial-killer saga and a less-than gangbuster Blockbuster comedy, these are the worst-reviewed new shows of the year, according to Metacritic’s ranking.
