Hello Tarah Who?! Thank you for speaking with me today!
CH : Thank you for having us !!
TGC: Hi hi! Thanks for having us!
What have you been working on lately? Any exciting projects you want to talk about?
CH : We just released our new album “Supposedly, A Man” last September and we are promoting it. We also are working on our next EP, so we are pretty busy hahaha !!
TGC :Yeah, still spreading the word out about our latest album, you can find all of the music videos from the singles that we have released this past year on www.tarahwho.com and now we are working on our new EP. This December, we are releasing a new song from that new EP and we are super excited about it!
When you’re not feeling motivated how do you get back on track?
CH : When I get frustrated I just don’t play anything and listen to some music, relax a little bit. After a few days, I always miss playing drums and the motivation comes back.
TGC: Yeah I agree with Coralie, sometimes you have to stop it ALL. I play drums, bass, and guitar, so actually when I get stuck with one instrument I usually just move on to the next. When I am tired of playing, I just get out. That is rare though because my music studio is like a woman cave! lol and I love to stay in there for hours. I always find something to do or work on in there.
How much do you believe LUCK plays a role in success?
TGC: For me, none! I feel like I have provoked for better or for worse, everything that has happened to us. Sometimes I feel like I haven’t done enough, sometimes I realize and remember that the reason that we are where we are today is for all of the hard work we have put in over the years. In the music industry, I don’t think that there is much luck. You get out there and you get it. There are several different ways to make things happen, but being passive is not one of them. It is not because you stay in your room working your chops and becoming the best musician that you will be discovered. You have to be good AND get out there and promote yourself. You wear all of the hats. We are lucky to be where we are at today but luck has not been the reason why we are where we are today. does that make sense?
What are you hoping to work on or accomplish as we approach the new year?
TGC: I am working on a special project for our next EP, I can’t reveal too much, but if everything goes well, I am hoping to make some noise for independent bands and women in Rock.
Do you have any holiday season shows coming up?
CH : We actually have a show on the 10th of December at the Maui Sugar Mill in Tarzana, it’s gonna be fun !!
TGC: Yeah we have one last show for this year, we are really excited to be playing back at the Maui Sugar Mill, we always have a great time there, and our friends YUR MUM are coming for the occasion, and a couple more surprises!
Any other projects you would like to promote?
TGC: That’s all for now! Thanks for having us!
